Welcome to my website, with all the things I do. I'm Professor of Politics & International Studies at the Open University, Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Surrey's Centre for Britain & Europe and a National Teaching Fellow.

 

I've previously been Deputy Director of the ESRC's UK in a Changing Europe programme and was Chair of UACES, the UK's European Studies Association, between 2021 and 2024.

My research interests cover euroscepticism, Brexit, UK-EU relations and the EU more generally, as well as the use of simulation games and active learning in teaching.
